A Dalek from one of the Peter Cushing Doctor Who movies that was given as a prize in a Sixties breakfast cereal competition has sold at auction for £38,500. The buyer from London saw off competition from bidders in New Zealand, America, Australia and Belgium.
In total, props from Doctor Who sold for £90,000. A cyberman sold for £2,000 and a stage show TARDIS for £1,000. The Dalek featured in Daleks Invasion Earth 2150AD which reworked the original William Hartnell adventure for a big screen audience.
